Dear Fellow Singaporean and Friends,
Thank you, for visiting our website. The Shanghai Singapore Business Association - Singapore Club Shanghai, is now more than a decade old, and ever since its inception in the closing decade of the previous century, has been, and continues to be, a non-profit organization set up and managed by, and providing services for, volunteers from the extended Singaporean community and its friends, here in Shanghai. You - either a Singaporean yourself, or a friend or partner of the Singaporean community, or even just someone with an interest in Singapore - are therefore the reason the SSBA-SCS exists. We therefore thank you for your continued support and participation in our community, and in our various activities here in Shanghai.
As the largest Singaporean community in China, we are honored to continue to have the patronage and support of the Consulate-General of Singapore, here in Shanghai, currently under the leadership of Consul-General Yip Wei Kiat. Additionally, we are proud to have always had the close partnership of International Enterprise Singapore, the Overseas Singapore Unit, the Singapore International Foundation, Contact Singapore, and many other branches of our country's government. We are also very proud to be able to continually collaborate with our other sister Singaporean communities in China, such as many of the other Singapore Clubs (e.g. in Suzhou, Wuxi, Fujian, Guangzhou, Ningbo, and Sichuan), as well as with the Singapore Chamber of Commerce in Beijing and its affiliates, and look forward to even closer partnerships with them.
This will be a year of consolidation and affirmation, for the SSBA-SCS. While we hope to continue the trend of membership growth (we had approximately over 1200 members listed in our last directory), our focus currently is on restructuring our organization to better able to provide a wider scope of services for our members in the future. We look forward to receiving your support on these changes, and more importantly, your direct advice and suggestions. We also hope to have your understanding and patience as we embark on these efforts - remember, our committee fully comprises of volunteers from the Singaporean community. I, personally, am very grateful for the active participation and leadership of the various volunteers.
Once again, thank you for dropping by this website. We do realize that the contents and design need updating - and we have started on this process. Please do send us your comments, either via email or even better - the next time we meet you in-person at one of our regular events!
